The Tour du Quercy, a 100-km loop through the heart of an exceptional region

The Tour du Quercy is a multi-day hiking trail of approximately 100 km, perfect for discovering all the region’s treasures in just a few days. This accessible loop typically takes 6 to 7 days to complete, depending on your pace, and offers a complete immersion in the region’s limestone plateaus, valleys, and charming villages.

100 km to discover the authentic Quercy

The Tour du Quercy invites you to slow down and soak in a unique atmosphere. Here, nature and history intertwine at every turn: caselles, dolmens, small hilltop villages, and stone-lined paths bear witness to a rich rural past.

Less crowded than the major routes, this trail charms with its tranquility and authenticity. It’s perfect for anyone seeking an immersive hike, far from the hustle and bustle, in close contact with the landscapes and local traditions.

Must-See Stops

Over the course of these 100 km, the Tour du Quercy takes you on a journey to discover iconic villages and remarkable sites that truly capture the essence of Quercy.

Orniac, nestled on the Causse plateau, offers a first glimpse into the typical landscapes of Quercy with its dry-stone walls and vast wild expanses.

Descending toward the Célé Valley, Marcilhac-sur-Célé impresses with its majestic, history-rich Saint-Pierre Abbey, situated on the riverbank. The contrast between the ruins and the surrounding nature makes it a memorable place.

A little further on, Espagnac-Sainte-Eulalie charms with its peaceful atmosphere. Its priory and gardens make it an ideal stop to recharge your batteries, in a setting conducive to calm and contemplation.

The route continues toward Gréalou, perched on the heights, offering magnificent views of the Causses and a well-preserved rural heritage, notably featuring dolmens and typical cazelles.

In Larnagol, the view opens up onto the Lot Valley. This charming little village, clinging to the cliff, reveals an exceptional panorama and authentic architecture.

Finally, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, a jewel of the Lot region and ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, crowns this journey. Perched above the valley, this medieval village with its narrow streets and half-timbered houses offers a spectacular conclusion to your hike.
