Near Clermont-Ferrand, in the Massif Central, discover the volcanoes and lakes of Auvergne. This 188 km long hike, remarkable for its volcanic landscapes, can be travelled on foot in about 9 days.

The Tour of the Volcanoes and lakes of the Auvergne (GR©30) is located in the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. You'll discover a succession of landscapes made of dormant volcanoes, craters and lakes with notably the Puy de Sancy, the Puy de la Vache, the Puy de Dôme, the Chaudefour valley, the Mont-Dore, Saint-Nectaire or the Lac de Guery and Lake Pavin.

• Step 1 : La Bourboule - Orcival, 22 km
• Step 2 :  Orcival - Aydat, 26 km
• Step 3 : Aydat - Saint-Nectaire, 17 km
• Step 4 : Saint-Nectaire - Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, 23 km
• Step 5 : Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise - Brion, 17 km
• Step 6 : Brion - Egliseneuve d'Entraigues, 16 km
• Step 7 : Egliseneuve d'Entraigues - Saint-Genès-Champespe, 21 km
• Step 8 : Saint-Genès-Champespe - Chareire, 26 km
• Step 9 : Chareire - La Bourboule, 27 km
