Discover Le Tour de la Margeride

The Margeride tour is a hiking trail in the form of a loop, of about 200 km, that can be covered in about 7 to 8 days. Your hike will be in the Lozère department, but also on the borders of the departments of Haute-Loire and Ardèche.

Your trip will include a hint of the Aubrac and the Santiago de Compostela route (GR©65) via Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole or Peyre-en-Aubrac. You'll reach the slopes of Mont Lozère and cross the Stevenson trail (GR©70) between La Bastide-Puylaurent and Cheylard-l'Evêque.

With views of immense meadows, forests, moors and granitic rocks, the Margeride tour will surprise you with the diversity of its landscapes. You'll also follow in the footsteps of the famous Beast of Gevaudan, a legendary animal that was roaming this region between 1764 and 1767. You never know what you may come across at a bend of the path...
