Discover The Saint-Régis trail

The Saint Régis trail GR 430 is a loop hiking route between Le Puy-en-Velay and Lalouvesc. It covers a distance of 199 km and can be travelled in about 9 days. It traces the journey of Saint Francis Régis, the patron saint of lace-makers.

You'll pass near the massif of Mézenc, highest point of the Haute-Loire at 1753 m, the highlands of Vivarais including Devesset and Saint-Agrève.

After a stage in Lalouvesc, you'll reach Le Puy-en-Velay via the Meygal massif (1436 m) and Saint-Julien-Chapteuil where you can admire remarkable landscapes of volcanic landscapes.

  • Step 2 : le Monastier-sur-Gazeille - Saint-Front : 21 km
