The Cathar Trail (GR© 367) covers 250 km between Port-la-Nouvelle (on the shores of the Mediterranean) and Foix (in the Ariège Pyrenees). It can be covered in about 12 days of walking.

On this route, you'll discover a remarkable heritage, castles of Aguilar and Quéribus, Ermitage Saint-Antoine de Galamus but also sumptuous views of the valleys and rocky peaks of the Pyrenees and their vertiginous citadels.

You can use the following stages to prepare your hike. Of course, these can be modified according to your chosen accommodations:

• Step 1 : Port-la-Nouvelle - Durban-Corbières, 29 km
• Step 2 : Durban-Corbières - Tuchan, 28 km 
• Step 3 : Tuchan - Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse, 23 km 
• Step 4 : Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse - Cubières-sur-Cinoble, 13 km
• Step  5 : Cubières-sur-Cinoble - Bugarach, 17 km 
• Step 6 : Bugarach - Quillan, 24 km 
• Step 7 : Quillan - Puivert, 21 km 
• Step 8 : Puivert - Espezel, 17 km 
• Step 9 : Espezel - Comus, 20 km 
• Step 10 : Comus - Montségur, 14.5 km 
• Step 11 : Montségur - Roquefixade, 17 km 
• Step 12 : Roquefixade - Foix, 18 km
