On the GR 509, you can travel nearly some 400 km over about 3 weeks. The trail will first take you along the Doubs. Its gorges will take you to exceptional sites such as the Echelles de la Mort and the Saut du Doubs.

Afterwards, nature will dazzle you with its diversity. Mountain ranges blend with springs and lakes, and forts blend into the scenery of your hike. You'll have the privilege of discovering the forts of Joux and Les Rousses.

Gastronomy enthusiasts won't be feeling left out. The region offers many local products to (re)discover.

This will prove necessary in order to cross a last and more mountainous part that notably includes the Crêt de la neige, summit of the Massif du Jura that rises to a height of 1720 m.
